I have never seen it, and honestly, I don’t plan on seeing it.
Certainly, different people (and filmmakers) adapt the story of Alice in different ways, and they have the right to do that. It’s their adaptation, their business… But I can’t help but think portraying Alice as a sexual object is disgusting and wrong in so many levels!
I always thought the idea of Alice/Hatter was already absurd, but making Wonderland look like f***land is way too much for me.
Sure, it was the 1970s, but still… I do not approve. Ew.

I have no idea how to react to that…
I’m only claiming that he wasn’t a pedophile because, so far, there hasn’t been any proof that he was one.

People fail to understand that Carroll lived in a different era. They see his Victorian nude studies of children and think “child pornography”. They hear he used to spend time with children and think “pedophile”. Hold your horses, people. It’s not fair and it’s not right to apply a modern opinion to a past era.
